Unison Community Guidelines
Unison is excited to create a space for women to come together and share their experiences to help each other learn more about health and wellness.
At Unison, we believe in the power of collective knowledge and communities of care. This is a space where lived experience is honored, where no question is too small or too personal, and where we center respect, equity, and empathy in every interaction. Women's health is shaped by a wide range of lived experiences, identities, and systems. We're creating a space that embraces this complexity—one that fosters healing, learning, and meaningful connection for all women, grounded in inclusivity, respect, and care.
Community Rules
To keep this community safe we expect members to abide by the following rules:
Be Kind and Respectful
Treat everyone with empathy and respect. Personal attacks, name-calling, bullying, threats, harassment, or condescension will not be tolerated.
Support, Don't Shame
We're here to lift each other up. Avoid judgmental or dismissive comments. Assume good intent and choose encouragement over criticism.
Protect Privacy
Do not share personal information—yours or anyone else's. What's shared here should stay here unless you have clear permission to share outside the community.
Be Yourself
We encourage you to share your own honest questions and experiences; every perspective matters. You're welcome to use a pseudonym for privacy, but impersonating others or sharing someone else's story without their consent is not allowed.
Listen Before You Speak
Take time to read what others are saying before responding. Validate lived experiences, especially those different from your own. Please be mindful of the space you're holding and how your voice impacts others.
Celebrate Diversity
We welcome women of all races, cultures, faiths, identities, and backgrounds. Discrimination, hate speech, microaggressions, or other exclusionary behavior is never acceptable. Please engage with care and humility.
No Promotion or Spam
This is a community forum for authentic engagement. Self-promotion, spam, and solicitation are not allowed unless explicitly invited or granted permission by Unison.
No Illegal Activity
Illegal activity or posting of illegal content is prohibited.
Content Warnings
Use [TW] (Trigger Warning) or [CW] (Content Warning) when discussing sensitive or potentially triggering topics like trauma, abuse, or mental health. This gives others the choice about whether and when to engage.
Flag Issues, Don't Fuel Them
If you see a post or comment that violates these guidelines, report it to moderators rather than engaging publicly.
Enforcement
Unison reserves the right to remove posts and/or users. Ways we may enforce activity that does not abide by our above rules can include but are not limited to the following:
- Advising you of your behavior that did not abide by the guidelines above and asking you to stop.
- Suspending your account.
- Removing content.
- Updating our Community Guidelines and/or Terms and Conditions.
- Banning you permanently from our community.
Moderation is an important part of our enforcement process, please report any posts that do not meet our Community Guidelines. We appreciate your support.
